One year older and much much wiser

On my actual birthday Clarke surprised me with breakfast in bed, his specialty eggs. Then he told me he had a surprise outing and I should dress like I was going to go jogging in my swimsuit (ummm... problem honey.... I would NEVER go jogging in my swimsuit WAY too many places that jiggle. ) So I wore shorts and a tee shirt. He took the kids over to our friends and he and I went on a 3 mile bike ride (uphill) to Lake Ilsanjo.
So the next part of the plan was that we were going to swim across the lake. Sounds adventurous, however because I ignored his swimsuit suggestion I did not feel like biking soaking wet or skinny dipping. Sorry Clarke, next time, I will dress like I was going jogging in a swimsuit.
After our bike ride he took me to my favorite restaurant the Crepevine. It served savory stuffed crepes- delish.
After that we ran over to the clubhouse where our friends were throwing their daughter a carnival surprise party. They did a great job the kids had a great time.

Then Clarke and the kids made me a delish dinner at home with my favorite ice cream. Thank you Clarke for making me feel so loved!

Fun for you Charlotte! Way to go Clarke!
So I posted pictures on our blog of the zoo. Yes! We went-I'm sorry, without you- but it ended up happening on our way home from the reunion-it just seemed to work out. I've been thinking that we still need to get together and schedule something for our families.
